Work in Progress Wednesday - Baby Blanket, this week's progress

Earlier on this evening Calum was testing out his photography skills and took this photo of me working on the blanket I started last week.

It was perfect timing really, as I needed a photo for this week's WIP post!

I should get this one finished in the next day or two.

Then it's on with the next project.

What did I do before I discovered crochet?!

  1. I think Calum has a future as a photographer ahead of him. :)

About the crocheting... I know, right? It's addictive, productive, and plain ol' fun!

  2. Ah, I love this picture! I have a favorite spot on our sofa where I can (probably too frequently) be found working a little crochet project. I just love to crochet. Your blanket looks beautiful and cozy! What is your next project?

  3. What a lovely photo. You just might have a future photographer in your midst. You're making great progress on the baby afghan. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next.

  4. What a lovely photo indeed!

    Some questions:
Do you always look this lovely?
Are the arms of your sofa always this free of books and clutter?
Is your lounge always this tidy?

    Sigh!

  5. How serenee do you look making that baby blanket? I think your son has a hidden talent. Well, not so hidden now! Beautiful blanket by the way. xx

  6. What a nice picture! It's so nice to see a photo of you. :)

I learned yesterday that one of Josiah's violin teachers had her baby boy this past weekend. She was playing in an opera and went into labor, so she had to leave in the middle and go to the hospital to have him! They named him Calum. :)

  7. Love the picture of you. You look so lovely sitting there crocheting. An inspiration to be sure. I've been crocheting up a storm lately, and so I feel as if all we need is a cup of tea and some way to chat while we were at it and it would be grand.

Also, love reading your cleaning schedule (on your previous post) I don't know why, but it always makes me enjoy my work when I read how other women keep their their momentum in their day/week going. Also enjoy hearing about your Mom being there to help.
    Many Blessings,
    Pam

  8. mmmmm a bit jealous that you are near the end of a project -is crochet a lot quicker than knitting? I'm knitting a wee bonnet and I'm afraid I'll never get through i, although I love it when I'm doing it. You have a fringe! -it's been a long time since we've seen you, it reminds me of when you were a young lassie getting married! Looks like you've had a good week and glad Andy could be home for longer on his birthday week, the cake looks smashing -when he's past 40 you'll have to start doing the low fat or fat less ones! xx
